Overview
This Cancellation and Refund Policy ("Policy") describes the terms under which BuildUX Inc. (doing business as Amedeo.ai) processes refund requests and account cancellations. This Policy is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms of Service.
Because Amedeo delivers immediate, AI-generated outputs at the point of a Pipeline Run, our pricing model and refund terms reflect the consumption-based nature of the Services. Please read this Policy carefully before making a purchase.
Nature of Our Pricing Model
Amedeo.ai operates on a per-run, transactional pricing model. At the time of publication of this Policy, the pricing tiers are as follows:
- Single Run: USD $999 for one Pipeline Run
- Three-Run Bundle: USD $3,499 for three Pipeline Runs
Each Pipeline Run constitutes the delivery of a complete, AI-generated analysis covering all 17 stages of the Amedeo pipeline, including a detailed report and prototype output. Pricing may change over time, and current pricing is always confirmed to you before a purchase is finalized.
Amedeo does not currently operate a subscription billing model. There are no recurring charges associated with access to the platform. All purchases are one-time, consumption-based transactions.
Pricing details are communicated to buyers before purchase is completed. If you have questions about pricing before committing, please contact us at legal@buildux.com before initiating a run.
General No-Refund Policy
All fees paid for Pipeline Runs are generally non-refundable once a Run has been initiated and Output Data has been delivered. This is because:
- Each Pipeline Run consumes significant AI compute resources from our provider infrastructure (Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google APIs) at the moment of execution
- Output Data — the reports, analysis, and prototypes generated — is delivered immediately and constitutes the complete deliverable of the Service
- Once Output Data has been accessed or downloaded by the user, the digital nature of the deliverable means it cannot be "returned"
By initiating a Pipeline Run and accessing the resulting Output Data, you acknowledge and agree to this no-refund principle. This general policy is subject to the specific eligible refund scenarios described below.
Eligible Refund Scenarios
Notwithstanding the general no-refund policy above, we will issue a full or partial refund in the following specific circumstances:
Eligible — Full Refund
Pipeline Run Failed to Complete
If a Pipeline Run was initiated and payment was charged but the run failed to complete or deliver Output Data due to a technical fault on our side or our AI provider's side — and the failure was not caused by your actions (e.g., invalid URL, incomplete input) — you are entitled to a full refund of the run fee or a replacement run at your option.

Duplicate Payment or Billing Error
If you were charged more than once for the same run due to a billing system error, or if you were charged an incorrect amount that does not match the agreed pricing, you are entitled to a full refund of the excess or erroneous charge.

Cancellation Before Run Initiation
If you have paid for a Pipeline Run (including a bundle run) and the run has not yet been initiated — meaning you have not yet submitted your product URL and Input Data to begin the pipeline — you may cancel and receive a full refund within 48 hours of payment, provided you notify us at legal@buildux.com before initiating the run.
Case-by-Case
Service Significantly Not as Described
If the Output Data delivered materially fails to reflect the service description as communicated to you prior to purchase — for example, if the pipeline produced output for a different product than the one you submitted, or if major sections of the report were missing — please contact us within 7 days of delivery. We will review your concern in good faith and may offer a full replacement run, partial refund, or account credit at our discretion.
Case-by-Case
Unused Runs in a Bundle
If you purchased a Three-Run Bundle and have not yet initiated one or more runs, you may request a partial refund for unused runs within 90 days of purchase. The refund amount for each unused run will be calculated at the single-run price of USD $999, and the difference between the bundle price paid and the single-run price for runs already completed will be deducted. Run credits cannot be transferred to another user or entity.
Non-Refundable Scenarios
- Dissatisfaction with Output Quality: Amedeo's pipeline is AI-generated and analytical in nature. Subjective dissatisfaction with the findings, recommendations, or style of Output Data — where the pipeline completed successfully and delivered the described outputs — does not constitute grounds for a refund.
- Change of Mind: Requesting a refund because you decided not to proceed with AI integration, or because your product strategy changed after receiving the Output Data, is not eligible for a refund.
- Failure to Submit a Valid URL or Inputs: If a Pipeline Run was initiated with an inaccessible, incorrect, or invalid product URL or with insufficient Input Data, and the run was completed based on available data, no refund will be issued.
- Violation of Terms or AUP: If your account is terminated due to a violation of our Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy, no refund will be issued for any fees paid.
- Requests Beyond the Eligibility Window: Refund requests submitted more than 7 days after Output Data delivery (or more than 48 hours after payment for pre-run cancellations) will not be accepted except in cases of billing errors or legal requirements.
- Promotional or Discounted Runs: Runs purchased at a special promotional price, as part of a pilot program, or under a custom arrangement that explicitly stated non-refundability are not eligible for a refund.
How to Request a Refund
To submit a refund request, please email us at legal@buildux.com with the subject line "Refund Request" and include the following information:
- Your full name and registered email address
- The date of your purchase and the transaction or payment reference number
- The product URL you submitted for the Pipeline Run (if applicable)
- A clear description of the reason for your refund request, referencing the applicable eligible scenario
- Any supporting evidence, such as screenshots of technical errors or billing discrepancies
We will acknowledge your request within 3 business days and aim to provide a decision within 10 business days of receiving your complete request. If approved, refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 5-10 business days, subject to your card issuer's processing time. We do not issue refunds via alternative payment methods or as cash payments.
Account Cancellation
You may cancel your Amedeo.ai account at any time by contacting us at legal@buildux.com or through your account settings. Cancellation of your account does not entitle you to a refund for any Pipeline Runs already initiated or completed.
Upon account cancellation, we will process your data deletion request as described in our Privacy Policy. Your Input Data and Output Data will be permanently deleted within 30 days of account closure, subject to any legal hold or retention obligations. We recommend downloading any Output Data you wish to retain before initiating account cancellation, as we cannot restore deleted data after deletion is complete.
If you have unused run credits in a bundle at the time of account cancellation, you may request a partial refund for those unused credits before cancellation is finalized.
Service Termination by Amedeo
In the event that BuildUX Inc. discontinues the Amedeo.ai Services entirely, we will provide registered users with at least 30 days' advance notice. In such circumstances, we will refund fees paid for any Pipeline Runs that have not yet been initiated at the time of the discontinuation announcement, prorated to the number of unused runs.
If your account is suspended or terminated by us due to a violation of our Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy, you are not entitled to a refund for any amounts paid. If your account is suspended due to an error on our part, we will work with you in good faith to restore access or provide an appropriate remedy.
Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
We strongly encourage you to contact us directly at legal@buildux.com before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your card issuer or bank. Most issues can be resolved more quickly through direct communication.
If you initiate a chargeback without first contacting us, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account pending resolution of the dispute. We maintain records of all Pipeline Run completions, delivery confirmations, and Output Data access logs, which we may provide to payment processors or card issuers in the course of responding to chargebacks.
If a chargeback is found to be fraudulent or unjustified, we reserve the right to pursue recovery of the disputed amount through available legal remedies.
Consumer Rights — EU, UK, and India
EU and UK Consumers — Statutory Withdrawal Right
If you are a consumer located in the European Union or United Kingdom, you generally have the right to withdraw from a contract for digital content or services within 14 days of purchase under applicable laws.
However, this statutory right does not apply if you have explicitly agreed to the performance of the service beginning immediately and acknowledged that your right of withdrawal will be lost once the service is fully performed. By initiating a Pipeline Run, you expressly consent to the immediate performance of the service and acknowledge that your statutory right of withdrawal is forfeited upon delivery of the completed Output Data.
If you have paid for a run but have not yet initiated it, your statutory withdrawal right remains intact within the 14-day period, and you may cancel and receive a full refund by contacting us at legal@buildux.com.
Indian Consumers — Consumer Protection Act, 2019
If you are a consumer located in India, you have certain rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. If you believe that a completed Pipeline Run constituted a deficiency in service, you may raise a grievance with us at legal@buildux.com.We will endeavor to resolve your grievance within 30 days. You also retain the right to approach the appropriate Consumer Forum if you are dissatisfied with our resolution.
For EU, UK, and Indian consumer disputes that cannot be resolved directly with us, you may also have access to out-of-court dispute resolution mechanisms, including EU Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr, and appropriate consumer tribunals in India.
Updates to This Policy
We may update this Cancellation and Refund Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our pricing model, product structure, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this Policy and notify registered users via email. Changes will apply prospectively to purchases made after the effective date of the updated Policy.
